Description
I promised my followers on Tumblr that I would try to have a total of four whole scenarios before the year's end. Here is what I have so far. I hope that I can keep my promise.
Here's the thing about the writing: I initially planned on condensing the entire part where Ximena contemplates whether to leave her current employer into a single page. The idea was to leave room for a really big match. However, during the initial drafting of the script, I quickly realized that I needed to give her more space to breathe, so to speak, and reflect on such a big decision. Even when typing the dialog in Manga Studio I altered the words from what I had in the second draft within the Word document, and I had to make choices of when to leave in extra reflective silence. Did I do well with the scene in the first three pages? You tell me.
As for the fourth page, could you already tell that I based the Big-A** Amazon on the Ultimate Warrior? That monologue is actually the very first thing I wrote for this scenario, wanting to make it as epically over-the-top random and “macho” as possible, and even then I made further edits during the lettering phase. Isn’t this a case where Wall of Text is perfectly fine for a comic?
